I choose the God of the Bible. Many denoms. have closed the Bible in the last several years and now lean on their own understanding, Baptist being partially guilty . One time we got a Catholic friend to read Matthew chapter 24 and she said it read like tomorrows headlines!Part 4

The Bible is beyond amazing but many will not give it much study or credence. If you will try it look at Isaiah 46 verse 9 and 10. Is that to much to ask.. If you are looking,searching,seeking then don't just blindly follow Oprah, me or anyone. It's sad that kids rejected and hurt the guy who goes as Marilyn Manson at church but sadder that he leads millions away from God, for example. I wish all well on their spiritual seekings. Part 5

Have any of you who mock Eckart Tolle's book read it or have you watched Oprah's A New Earth Webcast? You know, Eckart quotes the bible and Jesus often both in his book and when speaking. He is trying to help people be more spiritual, an adjunct to whichever religion they choose. He is not looking to be a cult-not his intention. It matters not a bit to him if you do not connect with his book. He would just say, "that is ok" and move on with his day.

English bloke with beady eyes? Eckhart Tolle is a German, living in Canada. You certainly fit the stereotype of the fanatical under educated Christian fundamentalist. If your going to libel someone publicly you should at least do some research.

A New Earth is an evil and deceptive book. The Church of Oprah along with Eckhart TRolle are leading million of New Age brainwashed victims down the path to hell.
WAKE UP!!! The Bible tells you that many false gods and false prophets will come to DECEIVE you and make you believe they are from the REAL God, but they are not. This is Satans deception. DON'T BE FOOLED!

Although Christianity does have its good points, the exclusive nature of many Christian sects opens the door to Christian bigotry. Christian bigotry is a disgusting and insidious evil. To Christian bigots themselves, their bigotry is usually invisible. It disguises itself as piety and righteousness. But to non-Christians at the receiving end, it is often plain old unadulterated bigotry.

Ok so obviousley you have read the book and came to the conclusion that its against your religion. The difference between, your "religion" and what you think is OPRAHS CHURCH, is... You would rather separate people with different views than what you have. You will judge, curse and condemn them to hell. Jesus did not surround himself with people who ONLY believed his word. So why wont you get up and hang with the homless huh? or even the misguided? All u do is judge? Is that your job in the bible

Have you read "Who Are You To Judge?" by E.W. Lutzer? We are to judge false teachers, false doctrine, false christs, false miracles, false prophets. The Bible states these things are to be judged by true Christians, and this book is not true. Go to "stushie.wordpress" and scroll down to "The New Earth" and see the errors, Eckhart Tolle is trying to tell the uninformed, are truth. Your statement about anyone, "cursing, condeming" is a problem between humans, but their "warning" may be true! o.k.?

OK well, lets not get started on the errors inside the bible also. This person is not preaching doctrine, he is not claiming to be christ, he does not perform miracles, neither is he a false prophet. He is a teacher, and just because his teaching may clash with the so sacred bible, does not mean he is false. I can see most are passionate about this topic, but from my heart I know your distracting yourself from what is true. Open your heart and mind.

You are mis-understanding me. Its not against my RELIGION, and he is telling everyone "words have no meaning" yet he uses HIS WORDS to tell us HE alone has truth? He wants complete autonomy and a self-centered christ of "self".His teaching 'clashes" with the Bible, yet they are BOTH true? No, only to Eckhart's way of thinking. He wants no Moral Law giver, and no One true God. He uses the word"intellectual"(more smarter!) to explain away his assertions.He IS claiming to be his own christ!come on!

If you wondered what was false about Eckhart Tolle's book, and teachings it would be a good place to start. Also "Kjos Ministries" has several areticles on Oprah and Eckhart.

An all loving and forgiving God doesn't love you and then scare you and tell you you'll go to hell. That's just doesn't make sense. Religion is controlling. Open up and see the true God in all of us. Jesus was an exceptional man, that's all. He wouldn't be pleased how man is using his preachings to justify their actions. Be one with God, Jesus, and humanity.

123benny, you are deceived. It does not matter what we as mere humans think about being "scared". You WILL go to Hell if you do not accept Jesus Christ as you Saviour and ask Him to forgive you of your sins.
It may not make "sense" to you, but those are the facts, my friend. I hope you will open up your eyes and heart to the truth. Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father (God). Count on it.

Hi, thanks for your response. I'm not going to argue. You have your spiritual path. I have mine. I respect yours. That said, I DO have a relationship with Jesus. I've gone through a lot...and I found that Jesus was there...So I don't appreciate that you jumped to a conclusion like you did so easily. I'm not a sinner and I've prayed and prayed all through my life...so don't jump to that conclusion either. Organized religion is not the way. The truth is inside you.

You are only partly right. That is, we Christians are walking a long road in this world. You folks have a religion that is too broad and certainly an anything goes attitude. If my personal beliefs are to take your worldly possessions, money, what then? You judge according to your own (tolle's) standards. The Bible warns us of frauds like Tolle. (Col. 2:8)He is a hollow and deceptive man, and he is only a man!

That person will go before the judge, be found guilty and sentanced to jail. Listen, we're all guilty. We're ALL sinners. I'm really started to understand the Blood of Jesus and what it all means recently. That blood was shed to cover us. When we accept Jesus standing in our place before judgement, we will be declared not guilty. If we don't except him and what he offered, we have to pay for our own crime/sin. The rapest excepts AND repents, he is washed clean, and a new creature is born.
