There is no longer a deadline for MAKE ART responses.
The more MAKE ART videos that there are on YouTube, the more chance we have of getting our category. I will not be able to include every video in my edit. This is because: - The huge number of responses. - The time it takes to download, import and edit. - This is taking over my life and I have ot
her important things going on too! Once my edit is uploaded, I will invite everyone to make a remix of their favourite MAKE ART videos which can then be attached to my edit as a video response. I hope this makes sense. Have a great weekend :)

Thats ok, it's kind of a scratchy vid anyways, I have alot more practicing to do when it comes to so many things, painting, video-making/editing, photographing etc ...
I appreciate very much your generous compliments! You're right, as someone once said "its not knowing the destination alone, that makes it all worth it, but the journey to reach it". I have the ideas but I'm having trouble finding content to integrate into a single video & I have so much else I must do, but I'll get 'im!

I'm all for the "movement" or whatever it is you created, and we really need to restore ART as a human behavior... But I don't get it. Isn't this HTML or some damn language and can't they just add a link?? Do they need a memory bank somewhere in Cheyenne Mountain?? Is it illegal to include art? Is art politically incorrect? Are there forces out there that are lobbying against art? Would they have to "define" what Art is? Are they chicken!? Just wondering. ;)

haha, ya get me. I've given it a fair bit of thought and the only reasoning I can deduce is the issue of censorship. As they run Zero tolerance, it'd become harder to define the line. How abstract would I have to draw a nude form to get away with it.. Not to mention existing masterpieces. However they seem to be listening. I've had email conversations with jamie the uk editor and he says they're under review constantly, though there are 'other factors to consider'. Who knows?

I think there may be a can of worms in there. I didn't think that there would be a question of whether or not an original artwork, a one-of-a-kind paint on canvas, would be censored because it resembled something else? But on Youtube it is also a video image, not a one-of-a-kind painting, what does that mean?

I know that a lot of people are afraid to say that one thing or the other is or is not art. It is too subjective. I don't think Zero Tolerance mixes well with something like Art. Art is a million different things to as many different people. They may not feel comfortable having "ANYTHING" be posted there and then have it look like Youtube "recognizes" that that "ANYTHING" is, in their opinion, Art. I am playing Devil's Advocate. I think Art should be a catagory. But I see trouble.
