I love blues, although I don't understand why the old guys are so revered. Maybe because they're the innovators? I might be biased because Gary's the MAN, but his playing has WAY more fire than BB's. I agree that BB does have a great blues though.

Both Gary Moore and Eric Clapton (amongst many others) have gone on record as saying that, in their opinion, BB King is the greatest blues man of all time and their single biggest influence. I would venture to suggest that they know what they are talking about. Anyway, blues isn't about how many notes you can play in second its about feeling and aint nobody "feels" the blues like BB KING
