Ok, here is the aswnser, Mister Robag: I don't know if you can remeber, but "It" have a "cicle" in witch she, (yes, she) do really bad things in certains periots of time. 1929 -- 1930: It awoke when a group of Derry citizens gunned down a group of gangsters known as the Bradley Gang. It returned to hibernation when the Maine Legion of White Decency, a Northern counterpart to the Ku Klux Klan, burned down an African-American army nightclub which was called "The Black Spot".

Well...she (It)....have certain periots of time, when she could just stay some time in the earth, so then she could "rest" from a long periot, an then awake in order to do bad things again...like the incident in The Black Spot...She can just stay a determinated periot of time out of hinbernation, in order to do...well...horrible things...then she need to rest.

something else i noticed was when wendy was chasing danny playfully before entering the huge garden maze...while they're running to the maze, wendy is racing danny and says "whoever loses has to keep america clean" and then danny says it again, and then once they finally enter, wendy gives up and says "k danny you win", which is symbolic of wendy's native american theme of "keeping america clean"

Thanks. Yes, i've watched No Country and will be reviewing it at some point. Meanwhile if you're a Coen Bros fan there's a review of Big Lebowski on my site that is very in depth (it's text only at the moment).

ery cool. if my memory serves, the scne with danny on the Big Wheel is supposed to be the longest ongoing shot in a movie.

it's also interesting how the typewriter at the beginning of the movie is white, but when wendy sees jack's "work" towards the end, the typewriter is now blue...i think this continuity error was deliberate, because it shows that jack was working with blue and white typewriters before...but now his ultimate "work" involves the color RED evidenced by "RED rum"...and the fact that red, white, and blue are the colors of the american flag only helps to support this.

Changing typewriters - interesting. I've been after a copy of the original version of the film, which sometimes gets shown on tv and has extra scenes. Probably some additional stuff in those scenes worth looking at.

I don't know if this is relevant at all, but have you noticed that after Jack breaks through the bathroom door with the ax, he only opened one of the door panels, but a later shot reveals 2 open panels in the door... is this a random mistake?
Very interesting ... ( 2 weeks ago by CK2890)
Very interesting stuff and i think with a lot of it youre probably right but i do think a major fault in the shining is when jack goes to all tghe trouble to smash through the door with the axe and could easily kill his wife he just runs away after hearing the snow plough engine. Maybe theres another reason for it I havent realised but i do think it makes the film a bit silly. by the way you can get the longer US version on bit torrent .

Yeah, I'd agree that was probably a mistake. Kubrick chopped the film down after early screenings - maybe the bathroom ax scene went on too long.

Thanks for the insight, of coarse personally i dont agree on some things you've point out, i must say i woulda never caught the black teddy on the floor! Awesome.
The visual ... ( 1 week ago by jermd1990)
The visual arrangement discussed from 6:20 to 6:42 reminds me of the visual arrangement of a scene in Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange." In it, Alex makes a large phallus-shaped piece of art wobble up and down; the camera is arranged so that it looks as if the phallus is repeatedly striking the woman whose home Alex has just broken into. This - along with Alex's subsequent act of plunging the phallus into the woman's face - is symbolic of rape, I believe.

Similarly, the visual arrangement in the scene in which it appears that Wendy is being struck with the axe likely symbolizes murder. Thanks for pointing it out! Your videos are great.
