I don't know for sure but I haven't found anything that says he didn't. Keaton was known to do his stunts himself so I'd guess yes. Perhaps someone who knows will come along and enlighten us both :)

Yes, Buster did those trick shots. He chalked the balls when breaking them to see which way they would go as they left a white line and then put the balls in one at a time. He was also an expert juggler, marksman,and horseman. He sang and played the ukulele. Houdini taught him magic, Bo Jangles Robinson taught him to dance, and some say he could have been a stunt car driver(he would take the car up on two wheels).

I think it's the book "Buster Keaton: Tempest in a Flat Hat" that tells how Buster performed alot of his stunts and gags.

Clips like this are exactly why the Surrealist painters loved Buster. Going to sleep, dreaming, waking up inside your dream, walking right into a film, and going around the world inside a cinema screen until you find your setting. Brilliant.
FYI: Samuel Beckett's "Film" (in 3 parts) is available on Youtube, starring Buster. Even though he didn't much like or understand the work, he was totally brilliant in it. He was not the first casting choice, but I don't think they could have done better.

Oh yes, I agree! I did see "Film" and uh, I'm not much for the surrealist films. I see no point in watching colored circles pop on and off the screen for 5 minutes though some seem to be able to extol the merits of such in grand terms :)
There's a webpage with links to all of the surrealist vids online which is quite handy. I'll send you the link by message... Man Ray, all the silent French stuff, etc and of course "Film." At least I think I kept the link :)
