The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform holds a hearing entitled "Misleading Information from the Battlefield." The hearing focuses on the death of Army Ranger Specialist Patrick Tillman in Afghanistan and the capture and rescue of Army Private Jessica Lynch in Iraq. The Committee examines why inaccurate accounts of these two incidents were disseminated, the sources and motivations for the accounts, and whether the appropriate Administration officials have been held accountable. Army Private Jessica Lynch gives opening remarks.

Hey come on now, that's not necessarily true. You're unfairly generalizing. Now, maybe it is warranted; maybe your experience with atheists has been negative, thus the stereotyping. But I know quite a few happy, loving, and real positive atheists who do anything but "spread hate"; they just haven't bought into the judeo-christian god myth... It doesn't make them bad people :-)

As a 20 year vet, I am so proud of Jessica Lynch for not letting the draft dodging elite in power use her for political gain. She is the epitome of the soldiers that this administration knows nothing about. Job well done soldier!

It's too late for her to tell the truth because there are puppets in her name a movie, a country song, and many other stuff in her name and I guess she touch a litle money on that. She is not all innocent but in the other hand even if she wanted to tell the truth the entire army would not let her do it.

Other people made the movies, songs, etc., she didn't. She just did what members of this administration refuse to do... told the truth. There are movies and documentaries in the works for Pat Tillman also. So are you trying to say that he isn't innocent? We soldiers know the difference between right and wrong. What this administration did in this case is dishonorable. And I'm proud of her for not letting them get away with it. We won't let them dishonor us.

It's probably worth a lot to people who enjoy watching mindless trash, like stupid series and unethical competitions and so on. The problem as far as I believe is that the media is too dependent on sponsorship, which makes it very vulnerable to obtaining a biased position in regards to news and politics etc. For most people the media is the only impulse they get from politics and culture and so on, if you know what I mean.

I was with 555th at the time and we policed up the vehicles. Windows rolled up in some of those vehicles. Commander always said, windows down, muzzles out! I have pictures to prove it. Hell I even gutted one of the 5 Tons we recovered for parts and caught an ass chewing by some E-7 from another unit. Didn't stop me though. Point is, I knew a few of those fallen soldiers. It's ok to tell the truth, you tried to escape leaving your battles behind. Profile riding ass coward.
