Seventh Wave - Only the Beginning(From the Album Psi Fi). Formed by Kieran O'Connor and Ken Elliott after the dissolution of the British progressive band Second Hand, Seventh Wave is an early example of a synth duo, a pop configuration that was to loom large in the 1980s. They released two albums in quick succession in the mid-70s, on which they showed a certain instrumental fecundity. Elliott's tools were a veritable catalogue of 70s synth technology (ARP, clavinet, Moog, Crumar strings, Mellotron), while O'Connor showed a distinct orchestral bent in his array of perucssion instruments. While their debut struck an uneasy balance between pop-rock and prog synth, they cultivated the latter influence more successfully on their next release. Both albums have been rereleased on CD, allowing a glimpse at an interesting, if lesser known, stab at early synth rock. (minder)

"Psi-Fi" & "Things to come" where a revolution to me. After the LP I bought the cd as well, a real masterpiece. Sad enough I couldn't find any music by the both guys. I still love theyre music. When I'm alone in my car I pump up the volume and have the time of my life...
Ken Elliot and Kieran O'Connor after more than30 years I'm still waiting to hear more of this beautifull music, please don't let me wait any longer

A long forgotten brilliant duo.
Tried to get their "Things to come" and "Psi-Fi" albums on CD., alas not easy, only Japanese imports at stonking high prices. Going to digitise the Cassette of the LP (TTC) I used to have.

Kieran sadly died some years ago. The best fucking drummer in South London. Period. The last night of No Man's Band in Clapham when Steve Waller went off to join Manfred Mann band was one of the best gigs I've ever seen. Nice to listen to this again, thanks for posting.

I finally managed to get the "Things to come" CD, but it cost me an arm and a leg. I particularly wanted the track "premonition" which I thought suitable for a Vid here, being suitably creepy sounding!
See my "The spectre on the Tor" vid., to hear it. Alas, I had to shorten the track a little.
I would have made it a response here, but I'm peeved at so many rejections of other videos that I haven't bothered on this occasion.

This sounds so good after all these years! So sorry to hear about Kieran dying. I used to listen to this alot as I worked in Chalk Farm Studios all those years ago. I hope you are all well, Ken, Vic, Hugh, Paul, Richard, Tony. What days those were!

The album is great, but MANIFESTATIONS is my pick. I wonder why it's not here, or elsewhere.
