theres another way to do this too, where you delete the white bg from the lineart, so your left with the lineart by itself on a seperate layer... you have total control over your lineart then... so you can make it darker and more heavier and you can colour in parts of the line art...
took me ages to find out how to do it tho, cause i needed it to make aniamtions etc...

Never mind I figured out it has to be in rbg not cmyk. So i'll have too convert to rbg and then back to cmyk. Why'd they make this so hard! WAH!
