Eu sou brasileiro, e capoeira. Remember that before capoeira separated into the 2 styles, there was only capoeira, no Angola or regional was used in the name. Styles were more of a personal nature. Angola was a style of chamada, or berimbau rythm. And THAT was what gave the name to the style that is known today. Check with the masters, not the students...

Excelent ísimo la muestra de Capoeira Angola en los principios de la Televisíon con sonido, curioso lo de los sombreros en los berimbaus (como quiera que se escriba el plural del berimbau) y el cachaco (vestido elegante) que jogó al pricipio.

That's why I said the TRUE form. lol I know it was adapted into Capoeira. I was talking about the pure Angolan form. Even Capoeira Angola is an adaptation of a true Angola kick-fight style. I practice Regional style myself.

Mestre Bimba doesn't play capoeira in this video, but is shown playng berimbau for a few seconds with his son Crispim.
According to dependable sources, the man plaing in the white suit is Mestre Curió Velho. Other players include Najé, Caiçara, Waldemar and Traira. Mestres Traíra, Zacarias and Waldemar are shown singing, playing the instruments and leading the roda. M. Bimba's voice and music are dubbed over the entire video. Shame, as Mestre Traira has such a beautiful singing voice.
