yep, like jonah said; hillary in her book makes the assumption that every child born in the world is automatically in crisis and the government needs to step in as early as possible to prevent disaster.does this seem sensible? it used to be education started at 6 years of age with the first grade,then we got pre school, kindergarten, now pre k, notice a pattern?

Johan is a reeeeeely big disappointment.
The fact is, fascism in a myriad of forms arrived when families lost self reliance, and that crept in with centralized control of goods and services by people who don't live in your neck of the woods. 10 years ago I sold my car (no Middle East Oil), put up a wind turbine, a garden and buy additio
nal food from local farmers. And I do this in the center of a dense urban environment. It's a start.

Rubbish! This guy just puts the label of 'fascism' on anything he dislikes to the left of himself (which is quite a bit, obviously). Ok, we can discuss how much the state ought to interfere in people's lives, but then: Why doesn't he include the Patriot Act? Why doesn't he talk about Christian conservative dictates about how to live? It seems to me that this man lacks the education and intellect necessary to even begin talking about "fascism". He hasn't got a clue.

Wow, I can't believe I watched that whole thing. Regardless of your political affiliations, it's inevitable that this book will only lead to a bigger divide amongst the parties. And unfortunately instead of civilized discourse, it will only lead to more name-calling (some of these comments being prime examples).

Very good talk. One thing I can't understand is why Jonah is on one of the most vile, disgusting, crude, hate filled shows on TV: the Bill Maher show. And I've seen Jonah just sit there and take it as Maher blathers on over everyone and then gets the usual mindless audience response supporting his view. The only thing I can think of to account for this is that they're both Jewish boys who grew up knowing each other and on that level they can be friends and tolerate each other. That's about it!
