The Greatest Verse revealed was Ayat al-Kursi, "Allah! La ilaha illah Huwa Al Hayyul Qayyum Whoever recites Ayat Al-Kursi immediately after each prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering paradise except death. In Surat al-Baqarah there is a verse which is the
best of all the verses of the Quran. It is never recited in a house but Shaytan leaves: Ayat Al-Kursi When you lie down in your bed, recite Ayat Al-Kursi until the end of the ayah, then you will have a protector from Allah and no Shaytan (devil) will come near you until morning. Continue recitin

Also, itis great advantage for everybody to learn and memories for their own benefit.If people recites ayatul kursi every morning and evening, Allah will protect from evil things. Well, Allahu Alam, I'm no scholar. If you think the nightmares are somehow caused by Jinn then Ayat ul-Kursi should do splendidly. I just say "A'udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem, Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim" before bed. I haven't gotten any nightmares as far as I can remember since I started saying that before bed. I used to get a nightmare every once-in-a-while though before.
I'm not saying it'll work, all I'm saying is its worth a try. Salaam.

SubhanAllah a beautiful recital of a wonderous verse. brother/sister kite. although we believe that falsehood is mixed with the doctrine of christianity it isnt befitting for us to mock the faith and as for the last comment about wonder what dreamt this is not befitting to joke about the creator in that way. we should speak to the people of the book with beautiful speech like calling them to this ayat not with this approach may Allah swt guide us all ameen

i have dreams which i feel as if i'm being touched by someone and i couldn't move a single muscle for some time. It made me feel so insecure. my parents thinks it's some Jinn and it made me even scared and told me to read Ayat ul-Kursi before sleeping but i can't memorise it yet and read surah Al-fatihah every night before sleeping. Alhamdullilah it works. =)
