When this video came out it was a huge deal - considered (like many things Ms. Benatar did) very controversial. It marked the period that she went from hard rock to pop. She portrayed a prostitute in it, something that was a big deal for the fledgling Mtv in the early 80's. The dancing was directly influenced by Michael Jackson videos of the time, and a direct comparison was made immediately following this videos release. This was also when break dancing was an attempt to replace gang violence.
