I often thought that "sing" could be slang. One of the definitions of sing is "to produce sounds when played". Ex. He really made the violin "sing". What do you think?

I saw the Benny Godman Story on TNT last night. A great movie starring Steve Allen as Benny, co-starring a beautiful Donna Reed and Gene Krupa plays himself throughout the movie. If your into swing or old movies it's a must see. I also saw the Gene Krupa Story starring Sal Mineo, that's a good on too.

Benny Goodman, Harry James are all amazing players. Yet in this song I definitely think Krupa is in the limelight. Although everyone in the band adds their own touch its krupa's that makes this song so dam unique. The Benny Goodman Big Band was truly amazing.
