As a writer's son, I say the writer's are the best artists of them all... however, in my own experience, actors, directors, and writers are all incredible artists. Although exec producers are for the most part just evil ^^; Bleh, I blame most crap to come out on the studio, unless it has Uwe Boll attached to it, in which case it's doomed from initial concept. By the way, I hate the man, but Tom Cruise in Rain Man is a horribly underrated acting job, he was better than Hoffman in that piece.
