Melinda converses with the ghosts infesting the home in question, and for whatever reason, they seem content to be where they're at and refuse to "cross over." Thus, Melinda calls their bluff and plays them in a word game. Meanwhile, the mortal tenants of the home are angry with her and cast her out.
