This is protest footage of the end of critcal mass ride in nyc during the republican national convention in 2004. the second kid to be arrested was a 16 year old out riding with his friends. notice how the cops grind his face into the pavement. NY finest my ass.

The NYPD made many mass arrests before and during the RNC in 2004. arrested and detained in toxic facilities provided by the Republican National Committee for 36 hours or more in blatant violation of laws the hateful rightists seem so proud of (breaking?). Each violation resulted in $1000 fine, but hey its only our money. This is excellent footage of a terrible action of pure fascism and state violence against peaceful protestors and bicyclists.

I rode with in Grand Rapids, MI occasionally before moving. I love the ride. I do love the idea of meeting and sharing, and all that good bike vibe (as I am full of it). I also love sharing the word that bikes are real, people do ride them, and they do deserve the same rights as cars. I am a firm believer that with those rights come the responsibilities of the law. If you don't know the laws, or choose not to follow them, then you ought to be treated as any other criminal...
