Yea and the fact that the engine isn't turboed or charged makes it that much more impressive! They should definately look into remaking this car and fucking over today's supercars. I'm sure they would dominate them.

i agree,the naturaly asporated enine did punch out 627hp but 2 turbos and retuning,intercoolers and modification of the cams could do a lot more

The reason they didn't add turbos was to keep the engine as reliable and low tech as possible. The engine also made an impressive 400ft/lb of torque at 1,500 rpm. But I agree with the technology of today it would be very easy to build a reliable yet much more powerful engine.

The MC F1 is an engineering masterpiece. To anyone that does not realize it has taken 10+ years for ANY car "maker" to meet or beat this beauty is....just in denial. That record of engineering accomplishment has NOT been beaten in the modern era. Think about it. Seriously.

lol, actually, have the real maths and statistics, you might actuatly might find the perpetual top speed, intreted, give me a message, and ill tell you, for eg: the veyron was at 407 kph at over 8000 rpm, rev limit removed and tall gear ratio, the Mclaren was tested with a 7500 rev limit, stock gear ratio and hit 391 kph, the mclaren is well capable of the 8000 rpm, and give it a tall gear ration, i think it will punch the face of 400 and kick the ass of 410 and maybe scream at 420

Veyron can hit top speed 253 with special key it makes car lower and more aerodynamic.Thats like cheating!Tiff said that if veyron was driven with that config it cant even go over a hump!
