LOL...ummm yea its racist the mother bird is a ding dang MAMMY for crying out loud, and the baby birds are pickannies, typical stereotyped images of blacks. good cartoon but racist none the less...

It's racist in the ... ( 9 months ago by 378dac)
It's racist in the sense that it's a stereotypical impersonation of what Black people look and talk like but the story was good how the bird was suppose to eat the worm
but the worm end up saving his life even though he tried to eat the worm. This is a classic very good cartoon despite the racist parts. I'm a Black male
It may be offensive ... ( 9 months ago by febboy09)
It may be offensive to some people, but I don't think it's racist. People of different colors look and speak all kinds of ways. It's racist when we attribute personality traits to a group. If the cartoon showed the little birds robbing white birds, then I would think it's racist. What I see in this cartoon is a loving mother and lovable kids that want to please her. If anything, one of them is a little ambitious, reading on his own and wanting to "catch the early worm."

well I aint see non wrong with it, you see ohter cartoons with white men, like Elmer for instance; they dumb too, even dumber, you dont see no damn white man complaining; why we dumbass niggas always feel so offended?
stop it stupid!
So it's racist ... ( 6 months ago by erick103)
So it's racist because..they choose a black bird to portray a black person? that makes no sense.. if you're black, you're black and you know it..there's no use in denying it.. people are just pussies..

I dont think its racist at all, personally i enjoyed this cartoon. The only thing i saw that was even a tiny bit stereotypical was that the blackbird children had afro's, but that's just a hairstyle, if they had mohawks would we say they're black people hating white people? i dont think so. Im 50% jamacian, 25% japanese, 25% european (english, german, irish, french) So i dont think i have the ability to be racist n_n

You have to realise that this was a different time and head space for a lot of people...But check out the backgrounds...no repeating the same scene every 2 seconds..this when a being a background painter was a career and an art....beatifull,beautifull,beautifull!!!!!!

Opinions will depend upon the mental sophistication one was born with. Some people know this... which is why their life is about shaking a fist at mother nature, god, or whatever...
If they hated ... ( 1 month ago by interstitialofficial)
If they hated blacks, they wouldn't have bothered making any cartoons about them, at all. These kinds of things are made by people who never lived in a black neighborhood and have no idea what it's really like, but they wanted to believe the best, as any of us do, so they represented them in warm hearted, charming, good ways. Being kind hearted, we want to believe all the strife in African populations is due to somebody else making things that way for them. Today, that's just impossible to sell.
