Do you think it is somewhere else. Do you not know where you are? Didn't you ever look at world map when you were in high school? If not, you can do it now. Just search in Yahoo for "world map". You will see that Canada is on the American continent.

This is very profound on the part of Lucy Maud Montgomery. Marilla returns Anne to Mrs. Spencer. But GOD Himself has sent Anne to the Cuthberts (as Marilla states later in the story) and it was no "mistake" that she came instead of the wanted boy. If Marilla had not seen Mrs. Blewitt, she would have left Anne drove off. When Mrs. Spencer sees Mrs. Blewitt coming she says, "I call this is positively providential!".. and IT IS but not in the way Mrs. Spencer thinks.
