I almost got killed in an ATV crash, but miraculously I got out of it without a scratch. I was going down a twisty bumpy road, without a helmet or anything. There was a canal next to me. It was full. I went out of control and almost went into it, but at the last moment turned and flipped over in a ditch. My dad & sister were nearby and saw the whole thing.

I too don't believe in god. but it's wrong to try and convince other people of your belief; if it helps people who believe in god, than religion is a good thing! but of course with all these people murdering "in the name of god" religion can be a bad thing too. either way, i don't get why people always try to convince others that their belief is the only correct one... why can't people let everyone be happy in their own ways?

I do not believe in coincidences or luck. I think that both are called miracles and I have lived to see them happen to me. I know you may say that I'm happy to hear my uncle's dead, but you're wrong. I'm happy he's alive in heaven and that's a love and hope that a shallow low-life like you will never understand. I loved my uncle. He was a great man, and to think that he's consumed by the fires of Hell (which you will learn to love)- is a horrible thought. End of discussion.

On this part "what does atheism have anything to do with obesity or conforming to mass media?": I have an answer. I hate-just HATE atheism and agnostic beliefs. Why? Because I do believe in God, I don't believe in evolution.
The media stuffs your brain with a lot of shit that I think turns your head from the truth. And the only people who believe some networks are the ones who sit on their ass all day infront of the tv eating potato chips and yelling "I want another".

Why is it that all you can do is try to insult me? You haven't explained your side of the arguement with anything substantial. Number one, my views have nothing to do with the mass media, sitting on the couch eating chips and personally thats some of the most irrelevant rambling I've ever seen. I scarcely watch any TV, I read kid. You should try reading some books and gaining knowledge from many sources instead of what ONE ancient (poorly written) book of alleged facts imparts.

I'm very tolerant of peoples beliefs; if they derive meaning and value in their lives from it then all the power to them. I will never deride someone for believing in something counter to my own UNLESS they are deriding other peoples beliefs and being one dimensional; only then do I feel a need to make myself vocal. As long as you aren't pushing your beliefs and telling other people they are wrong (because there is truly no real way of knowing) then I won't intervene.

My uncle is a Pastor and many people in my family are religious and our relationships don't suffer because we view the world differently. It's just unfortunate that not all people can accept that their are other beliefs out there and more often than not its the atheists or the agnostics who have to be accepting. Relgious people are so outraged by anything that questions aspects of the belief while science is constantly questioning and improving its own stand with qualm or contempt

Oh and just to verify something... How can you NOT believe in evolution? Even the POPE acknowledges evolution; its not even a question anymore. You NEED to do some research, instinctive spirituality and age olds documents aren't going to aid you in a constantly advancing world. Ok, read up and think outside the box when you make arguements about this. firstly, nothing created God, he always was, which is a direct quote. Just because we don't understand it doesn't make it untrue, because whether you like it or not, we aren't the deciding force in understanding of the universe. Also, what do you suppose God should do about bad priests? Now I'm not saying that child molesting priests have justified actions, but God doesn't choose who joins the church, and what their motives are. It's a little thing called free will, the greatest gift God ever gave man. The church doesn't support evil people, but they don't always know about them if they're in the church community, either.

You know what? You do the same exact thing. I am a 4.0 student and my favorite thing to do is read. I am mostly a musician, but I have never gotten below an A in my LIFE!!!
