I played through this game 3-4 times, so I was hyped when I heard Chrono Trigger was coming out since it was by Squaresoft. Then when I played it- I thought, this piece of crap is not even half as good as FF3 (FF6) and then proceded to play this game one more time.

Oops, I meant in a Nintendo console!!! I got the DS idea since they remaking the third and forth Final Fantasy, which came out recently. Nowadays, they're remaking the Final Fantasy's on handhelds, like this one on the GBA, the first and second one on the PSP, and the one I mantioned. But you're right. This is the best Finsl Fantasy I've ever played (too bad dad destroyed it years ago) and it deserves to be on a console!! The game came from Nintendo, so it stays there. That's what I mean.

i know what you mean, i dont have a PS3 either, dont plan on getting one. but FF on the Wii might not be good enough, i hate to say it, but i know people are thinking it. even though i would love to have FFVI on the Wii. just to see all of the wonderful people in 3-D, but i hope to God almighty not a DS re-make, that would honestly crush me because DS graphics suck. even though graphics arent everything, they do matter in the end somewhat.

I would agree, that for a FFVI remake, graphics would be the most important, I already have the game so I don't need new awesome gameplay, I just want it to look even more awesome, I am hoping that if it is remade than it could be for PS3/360 (squares excuse could be that they are trying to get everyone to enjoy such an awesome game) and it could look nice, and I could get it. :)

Guys, I read all these comments about a remake on the ps3 or whatever. My answer to that is a big fat NO. First, the game has a particular gameplay and storyline made to accommodate the limitations of snes hardware. If you were to modernize it, you'd have to make it on par with current RPGs - you'd have a different game - or leave it like it is with just new graphics - people who haven't lived those years will hate it.. Why expose it to undeserved criticism, and taint its legacy? Let it go.

well, you can't argue taste, but here are a few reasons why I prefered CT:
1) better gameplay. The battles were more involved, and more complex.
2) better story. FF6's was good, but it's not very original compared to its predecessors and other games of the genre. Magic statues, an evil character bent on destroying the world, etc. Chrono trigger: Alien lifeform manipulating time. Must travel to different periods.
3) better music. Yes FF6's score was impeccable. But CT's was a notch higher.

maybe i just fell in video game "infatuation" with FF6 and so i couldn't get into CT. The opera scene, the collosium music, the moogles and the infamous moogle charm, and Sabin was my fav. character in which you had to input street fighter 2 moves to utilize him- damn!!!! And kicking Kefka's ass, the endless tower, the paintings that came alive, and the hidden espers.
