This is not Vortex on this video, this is Øyvind Hægeland from Spiral Architect. He's the one who replaced Garm when he left Arcturus. Vortex wasn't in Arcturus in 2004, he jumped in for the recording of Sideshow Simphonies in 2005. Hægeland left because he was forced to move in Sweden for his day job. This guy doesn't look like Vorte x at all. Nor he sounds like him. I love Vortex and dislike Hægeland. I do love Garm, but he's not a frontman. He doesn't like to make shows.

Hahah, you've got to be kidding. H ægeland is ten times the vocalist Vortex could ever be. I've seen Arcturus live with Vortex, and it was awful. Hægeland even did Kinetic live, and you didn't see Vortex try that...

Besides, harsh vocals have never been Hægelands main style, and with that in mind, I think he does them pretty good. There wasn't much shrieking in later Arcturus music anyway, so I'd rather go for a great "normal" singer who does decent harsh vocals, than someone who is better at the harsh ones but not exactly a maestro of normal singing.
Not that Vortex can do harsh vocals either...
