well, original file ruuns at about 96 kbps. With my conversions, at about 192 kbps. Significant difference in itself, but also, the audio maintaines the equalization of the non-mastered vinyl version, bringing back the warmer and a little heavier feel of the song as delivered on the vinyl. The cra
ckels are simply for enjoyment.

Billy Joel wrote this song while he was in his apartment thinking of songs to write when he saw this drug dealer that was selling kids heroin named Captain Jack. He was outraged and wrote this song and was thinking what's so obsolete about a teens life to involve such a heavy drug. He brings all this up in such great words. Thanks for putting the authentic original taste of this beautiful song.

These days, at least to me, radio stations play Piano Man and the like into the ground and make you absolutely sick of listening to Billy Joel. Then you hear a song you haven't heard in years, played on an old-school turntable, and you remember just what a genius the man really is.......
