Hey stick with the 400 dude. A minute 400 is really competetive while 15 seconds won't be doing as much. Keep up with the running. YOu will regret it if you quit.

Yeah i run track but its mostly for the other sports i play, mainly being soccer :D. I'm not that good at the 400m, but i sometimes run the 800 or mile. Im not super fast or anything but i just like running during track. And soccer heheh. And also one more thing. 400 isn't really distance. It's more a paced sprint, and that's also partly why you have to stay in your lane for the 400.
