Touring Canalave City isn't really exciting except for the battle with your rival and the move deleter. I was right about the camera being off but I seemed to fix it without knowing it.

The locked door is for the Nintendo/Action Reply code or Event for Darkrai. You go in and take a nap, and you have a nightmare where you go to an island, and you can fight/catch him, take the boat back, and then you wake up, talking about your weird 'dream' and you were asleep for 2 weeks. It's weird.
