The film is about an outsiders perspective of adolescence and friendship that expires due to the consequence of their individual characters. It a coming of age story that nails the attitude of a niche adolescence in our time.

It's odd that they got the impression from the movie that teenagers don't consider blowjobs to be sex. I don't think of it that way, maybe I'm not typical of my generation.
