Um actually, to continue the species is still a result of being straight. There are plenty of straight couples that can't have children either so obviously sexuality does not necessarily dictate the ability to procreate.

Really? Sexuality has nothing to do with continuing the species? Say one hundred staright couples are put in a room. Sadly, five spouses are infertile or sterile, and therefore, cannot have kids. Not to worry though, because there are still 95 couples capable of having kids. Take one hundred homosexual couples now. Because homosexuals cannot reproduce AT ALL, there is a 0% chance of children, the species lessens. Do you not see the logic? Homosexuality has no meaningful purpose.
