This is a video we used to intro a message series at Lake Hills Church. Though I do not agree with Bill Clinton's actions, he did confess to the American people and to God. I do respect his efforts to help poverty and aids. This is a prime example why we should put our trust in God and not in humans. Humans may fail us, but God never will. May God bless America and this world.

Actually, the press and the public knew about the affairs other US presidents had. Hell, John F Kennedy would brag about his affairs to foreign dignitaries. They just didn't care. Back then the press didn't focus on irrelevant details of presidents' personal lives, and rightfully so.

i respect where you are coming from scotty but i still believe that whoever the president is, they should be completely honest and not lie to us. i do feel bad about bill getting caught by the ruthless media before his wife but he had a chance to fess up and he took the easy way out. any person who is not man enough to tell the truth should not be president, therefor i think all of the presidents of my lifetime have been scumbags

Well, I do believe Clinton should have fessed up straight away. Then he could have avoided a good portion of the witch hunt.
However, the uproar in the press was immediate even before Clinton denied it. They should have done maybe a few stories on it, and then ended it. There shouldn't have been any ridiculous investigation into it and Clinton should not have been required to testify to a grand jury about it.

He may have got off easier than most people, but he did NOT get off scott free. Just like Nixon was pardoned from Watergate, he didn't get off free either. First of all Clinton was disbarred in Arkansas. Second, many people look at Clinton and all they see is the Lewinsky scandal. All the good Clinton did while president is overshadowed by an extra-marital much like all the good Nixon did was overshadowed by a third rate burglary.

People who say his *personal* life has nothing to do with his Presidency, must understand that he committed these acts on the job. This act shows that his judgment to lead is clouded by his selfishness. He will take self gratification over protecting the interests of his family and the American people. What other selfish acts has he gotten away with that we do not know? How is it that he can make millions from *foreign investments* after his Presidency? For President, this is a character flaw.

Big deal, so he had an affair. Being president is a stressful job when you're not taking a month off to go to your ranch in Texas every year. So he wanted to relieve some stress. At least he did it in the Oval Office so he could get some work done while it was going on.
