excerpt from a training session. sort of a d natural blues and blue monk head. not her finest playing but
didn't see any other clips of her. she was a fine jazz guitarist with a heavy Wes Montgomery influence.

Well you could give it less...a lot less as a matter of fact. 1, 2, 3, or 4 stars to be exact. Personally I think 3 or 3.5 (if that's allowed) is the maximum it should recieve. I mean it's a good arrangment, but Lenny Breau is 5 material and this, quite obviously, doesn't really compare.

Emily was the shit! My old guitar Teacher used to always spout what Emily taught which was emphasize the 3rd and 7th guide tones over the changes and you'll never get lost. Once you reduce it to the minimum changes come alive! BeBop Forever!

i am coming to appreciate emily remlers playing through all this stuff on youtube.
a really nice palette of tonal colours and phrasing.
When playing is this good comparing one player at this level to another is pointless.
The playing is just different.
Why people have to turn music into a competition I don't know it isn't purely about technique - technique is just a tool.
