Preview for "It Came From Beneath the Sea," one of the best of the monster-on-the-loose films from the 50s. This one was released in 1955.
This time, the H-bomb has annoyed a giant octopus, who proceeds to attack San Francisco. He trashes the Golden Gate bridge and causes panic in the city.
A taught 79 minute running time keeps the film moving, and the excellent effects were created by stop-motion master Ray Harryhausen. The film a
lso features a strong female lead, practically unheard of in the genre at the time.
I'd recommend this film for any fan of sci-fi or 50s films. Great fun!
