WOW! That was a racist remark! One thing I can't figure out is what Harpo did to become the entertainment mogul she is. She is a poor interviewer as most of her guests are apparently prompted before they hit the stage. The View, Ellen and Harpo all give away so much free promotional crap it doesn't matter and her extreme outreaches to different causes does not come out of her pocket - others pay for it promotionally. She tries to balance her format racially but is racist at times.

secondly, Oprah has been on TV since she was 19 years old. she started her own show in 1996 or was it 1986 and has been giving freebies on her show long before the view, ellen and rosie were on TV. they are all copying Oprah by giving away free products. of course that is good for the manufactures of these products but Oprah endorses only the best stuff, unlike the rest.

thirdly, Oprah has given away 100s of millions of her own money over the years to all communities, black, white, latino, asian, babies, children, women and men. some of the charities she will talk about on her show to highlight what needs to be done by all of us in this world; and most of her charity work, she won't talk about and keeps it private. while other rich people give to millions to the FUCKING art work and call it charity, Oprah gives to the really needy and keeps it real.

The point is all people in powerful positions are scrutinized. The president is the most powerful position. Anyone with great success is scrutinized. We have an entire multi-billion dollar tabloid industry built on it. The mainstream participate as well. The higher you are the more criticism you get.

of course politicians should be scrutinised, they run a country, if not the world and THE POINT IS THAT Oprah is not a politician. you hardly hear anyone scrutinise Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Letterman, Leno, Martha Stewart; yes she was jailed 4 insider dealing; Howard stein, O'reilly and the rest of them shooting their hateful views all over the place. and yet the one who does the most good is turned into a villian.

She's incredible woman and performer. *As far as the debate about politicians vs. businessmen, power and scrutiny... there are people behind Presidents in case someone did not know such a thing - and THOSE PEOPLE are the people who really hold the power. Nothing will ever change that and those who deny its existence, welcome illusion. I'm not saying this is how it should be - it's monstrosity! Tina is by far the most spine chilling best concerts I have ever been to because of her energy. I saw Tina's movie. My mother picked at her over 20 years ago for looking like a 30 year old. And she is still going strong....
