Wow. Loved the steel for years now, but that might be the smoothest I've ever heard. That could probably lull me to sleep faster than a spinning fan. (thats a good thing). Thank you, sir.

You don't get the same full tone and sustain but it will work if you put a taller nut on a standard electric guitar and use heavy strings. The tuning I use most is open 'D'- D A D F# A D the tuning is from low to high strings.
