I stand to be corrected, but, as far as I know, there is NO connection between Andy Gibb and this song!
The only indirect connections: the band player were compared to and even accused of stealing the sound of the Bee Gees and Andy Gibb, and Player shared the RSO label with the Gibbs.

This song is interesting in the fact that it came between Staying alive and Night Fever and interrupted the Bee Gees/Barry Gibb written string of chart domination. The beauty of the song is that it was on the RSO label so the label had a run of 6 #1's in a row.

I mean there on the video description clearly says who sings the song and that he just used it as music fo the slide show of Andy Gibb images he did, here, read it yourself:
