Here's a demonstration of how to do the coachman's crack. I'm using an 8 ft 4-plait cowhide bullwhip that I made and offer for sale on my website, www.winrichwhips.com.

yes, it is easy to get hurt, that's why it's recommended to wear long pants, a long-sleeve shirt, a wide-brimmed hat, and glasses when learning to use a whip. I still wear glasses and a hat when I practice.
