the only albums which really involved thrash influences were projects in the jungle and MAYBE cowboys from hell, that mostly did involve the tempo, but not the riffing. the only song on vulgar that had any thrash influence was Fucking Hostile, the rest of the album was completely groove! and after that, they went completely groove metal, i don't care about what Mustaine said... Megadeth stopped being Thrash in 1992 as well, but i still love their music.

damn it when are people going to stop this stupidity about Pantera not being thrash, just because they don't sound too similar to 80s thrash bands doesn't mean they weren't a progression on the genre. They should just call it progressive thrash, just don't dismiss it as plain old 'groove metal' Pantera is and always will represent thrash, even if they wanted to be more than that, there is no higher level than thrash no matter what twist or influence you add to it, the core of the band is thrash
