here is my personal review of mario kart wii. Check here for ratings and overall score.
Graphics - Graphics are smooth and wellr endered, but super smash bros brawl has a little better graphics than Mk wii. 8/10 gameplay - Gameplay is addictive and i can see this game being in my wii for weeks and weeks to come. Has great replayability. 10/10 Wifi - its flawless, easily the smoothe
st running wifi game for wii. upto 12 players can play Mk wii wifi at a time with out the slightest of lag. 10/10 Controls - there is something for all. wether your a veteran at mk wii or a noob. control methods are out there and atleast one will suit you perfectly. 9.5/10 overall - 9.5/10

hey...just ignore all the people who say that this game deserves anything less than a 9/10. they probably just suck at video games, and they don't know a good game when they see it. they complain that 150cc is too hard, while it's actually pretty easy. this game is straight 9.5/10 material. the only thing i see wrong with it is that battle mode is team-based. and that might turn out to be a good thing in the future. who knows? btw, my friend code is 1161-0187-5990. add me!

yes, all those problems DO get it a lowly 8 I'm afraid. I think if most of the reviewers on the net have given it 8/10 for the same reasons there must be a common problem with it.

most of the reviewers are simply wrong, though. they say that 150cc is too hard and that the game has rubberband A.I. wth?! that's far from the truth. i know, because i play tested it myself. i was able to play through 150cc and place 1st place every race without too much of a problem. the problem with most reviewers is that they're casual gamers, and they're not too good. so they replace their lack of skill with complaints. yes, 150cc is hard like it's supposed to be, but it's fair.

furthermore, mkwii is even revolutionary in a lot of ways. the first mario kart game to offer a more realistic driving experience via the very responsive wii wheel, 5 different control methods, a grading system, smooth online play, downloadable ghost data from all around the world, tournaments, rankings...it's definitely the best mario kart game ever made. you would have to be nuts to disagree. and if you do the math, best mario kart game = a higher score than an 8/10. a 9.5 sounds good...

smash bros didnt have "a little" better graphics than this. Brawl has beautiful graphics. But, this game proves that graphics dont mean shit over gameplay. This game kicks so much ass, the graphics could be super blurry and it'd still be the shit. As for the wi-fi, It doesnt lag, on your part. But sometimes you will see people appearing, disappearing, seeing shells you threw out in front explode only to see the dude behind you got hit. But yea, this game is the shit

smash bros yes, has better graphics, but I would compare this game to Mario Galaxy, which has easily the best graphics on the system, yes, better than Brawl's, less flat textures, and a lot more detailed. for the controls, I use the Gamecube controller, it's much smoother, and I usually never fall off Rainbow Road like I do with the Wheel.

I'd say 9/10 for me, yeah the selection from the old courses was terrible, Peach Gardens? Desert Hills? YOSHI FALLSS?? why not Waluigi Pinball? and for gamecube, Peach Beach??? whoever chose that deserves one good punch in the gut. how about some Wario Colosseum?? and yeah, unbalanced weapons, big time there, but I still have lots of fun online, but yeah I do feel that the skill isn't always there, but I still think it's another solid addition, but I think they could've done A LOT better.

i agree with mario54671, why did they pick daisy gardens? that stage sucks! and desert hills... they upgraded that with the dry dry ruins course...why keep the old version? and actually, i kinda like yoshi falls, but still, waluigi pinball and wario coliseum are amazing! why did they cut them?

well now that they picked a bunch of really boring places, now they've got good places to pick next, maybe they'll pick the N64 Double Decker for the battle course in the NEXT Mario Kart. and maybe they'll pick a better Double Dash battle course, seriously, Cookie Land?

oh yeah, and I'm totally with you about them putting ANOTHER desert place, but that's not the worst one, the worst was them putting FOUR Mario Circuits! yepp, four, N64, SNES, Gamecube, and Wii, all Mario Circuits. then they re-did 2 Bowser's Castle's, so there's three of those! I mean before the game was out everywhere else I knew DK's Jungle Parkway was in, and Sherbet Land and Mario Raceway, and then Bowser's Castle is the final one...huh? it's a classic, but we've already got other ones..

They're thinking of the future. Future Mario Kart games with classic courses will have the good ones this one left out! Gives you something to look forward to. Though I do agree, there could have been a few better courses in there.

yeah i always got mad at this game...I played the original Super Mario Kart...nevermind that shit..maybe it's because I'm playing an emulator on my computer and it's meant for an actual control? but still...no wonder the Rainbow Road on there is supposed to be "hard"...it's because the controls suck! if they put the SNES Rainbow Road on the Wii, it would've been really easy.
