Yup the media mainly puts a spin on things so they get people to perceive it the way they want it perceived, its called propaganda. Whipping everything up into a "media circus". They are loving the fact that youtube posted it too,they think in someway it validates their media witchhunt on internet free sources. Its a sad fact but many peoples opinions cant be determined on cases like the beating, until they feel within themselves that a definite conclusion has been reached,

So it leaves many people in a black and white stance , instead of seeing the shades of grey. Its to these types of people that a basied media pamper to. Unable of wasting time to let the brains process the information
objectivey and drawning their own conslusions, they need to a quick solution
so that they can draw a line under it and carry on with the rest of their mundane routine.Making themselves feel comfortable
that they have choosen the right moral high ground, making them feel secure

What you guys need to understand is that the media does not make good money for boring stories. I'm sure in other countries you think we're all full of ourselves and materialistic and blah blah, you get all of that from the media. People would not be interested if the story wasn't stressed out. Just keep that in mind.
