it keeps people working either directly or through reinvestment. Those that refuse watch their wealth slowly dissipate. Out another way. Our system works. The US has tons and tons of stuff. We produce tons and tons of wealth. Most people are far more wealthy in the terms of what they have, than in previous generations. But what they can't do is easily collect so much that they can no longer work.

it never occurs to him that Congress could care less about that. Their goal is to do whatever it takes to keep people chugging out valuable labor for the benefit of all. Also, he doesn't understand the nature of the value of currency (how I make my living...cough). It's cyclical not linear. The dollar is devalued. So what? Our economy is stronger than ever....chugging out tons of wealth. Eventually, it will go right back up again. It is mostly irrelevant.
