I don't think you fully understand the meaning of that word, look up "Dunk shot" in the dictionary and you will get:
"a shot in which a player near the basket jumps with the ball and attempts to thrust it through the basket with one hand or both hands held above the rim."
It says nothing about your hands contacting the rim, just needs to be above it, thrusting down. That's why the shot counted.

Was a great contest no doubt, but Spud vs Dominique was pretty good too as was MJ vs Dominique, Dee Browns "hide the eyes" dunk was nice. Difficult to decide the best. Dwight was tough though. Good to watch.

Gotta love the announcer in all this, i cant remember his name right now for some reason (sorry its football season, not up to snuff on my Basketballl knowledge right now)but that guy gets so excited it makes the dunks that much better.
