As for your assertion that you're not rebelling against the United States, I have to assert that you are. The police are the arm of the executive branch that enforces laws. Without them, there are no repercussions for breaking the law. What you're suggesting is that the constitution says the government should be powerless.

Actually, I have done research. I used to feel the same way about cops you do. But you'd be surprised how many details people like to leave out when they're talking about how "oppressive" the police are. The fact is, the police serve an important purpose in our society, and I'd much rather have them than the vigilante "justice" that would otherwise take their place. If you think the police are harsh, wait'll you see what people will dish out themselves with no oversight keeping them in line.

We can probably both agree that our system isn't perfect (what governmental system so far has been?) but it's better than what we could have. I don't know if you've ever had the displeasure of living in a state w/ less rights than Idaho, but trust me if you haven't it could be worse. We have a lot of rights left in this country especially in ID. You can even open carry legally in this state which is pretty cool IMO. Don't give cops a reason to mess w/ you, and they won't. Trust me it works
