LTDIXON i just bought a mountain bike also and the first time i rode it i was like wtf this seat hurts! Well my seat was put all the way down and for the 2nd ride i put the seat a lot higher because thats how all other mountain bikes were and now the seat feels a lot more comfy because i dont have so much wait on my butt anymore. I had to put more weight on my wrists which made the ride more comfy. I dont know maybe that will help u.
