Tim Burton has directed an adaptation of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd for the big screen. It stars Johnny Depp as Sweeney Todd, Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Lovett, Alan Rickman as Judge Turpin, Sacha Baron Cohen as Signor Adolfo Pirelli, and Laura Michelle Kelly as Lucy Barker (Todd). It is slated for nationwide U.S. release on December 21, 2007. The nationwide UK release date is due to be 25th January 2008.

You know Tim Burton. He probably gave the dark, gloomy aura of the film, and their pale faces. And it's pretty good. Or even great.

it depends on what theyre allowed to watch.
theres only about a dozen deaths, the last 3 being the worst, and the mention of sh-t and p-ss a couple of times. i dont see why a 11 year old couldnt see it.

I love this movie!! I wanted to see it in theaters, but never had a chance. Luckily a friend of mine had it and let me barrow it. I think this is the best movie to come out on DVD in 2008 so far!
