When you say ' ...( 4 months ago by ElJefer)
When you say 'simple evolution,' you're setting up a straw man. Evolution isn't simple. Also, you say that evolutionary theory holds that evoltuion is an 'accident'. As brickan2 said, the theory holds that organisms evolve by natural selection.
Also, about your argument on the Mona Lisa. It'a a false analogy to say: If someone says that the Mona Lisa wasn't created it's equivalent to say that the universe wasn't created.
It's ok to criticize evoution, but provide a good alternative.
Poor interviewer/ ...( 4 months ago by rsm1234)
Poor interviewer/host/narrator. Perhaps he was not able to understand Richard Dawkins words, manipulating lone sentences to satisfy his goal. Perhaps his goal is to do religion propaganda. If not, he is really a moron.

As for human alturism, i think it could be a pack or herd mentality.
"I need my genes to survive, despite the fact this guy shares no genes with me, the two of us can fight off more predators increasing my chances"
Or.
"This guy has genes that would be useful to me, we cant procreate but our descendents might thus making a better human."
Mere speculation ofcourse, but a possiblity i feel.

Wow, this host is a complete idiot.
He cherry picks Richard's statements and twists them way out of context.
Such a biased narrator.
Richard ...( 3 months ago by Skydromakk)
Richard Dawkins'life philosophy was completely misunderstood by this guy. And religion is not defendable by it's morality. You can't have all the moral bits of religion without God. So if God is non-existent, then the morality just doesn't save it. We can have morals outside religion.

i can't believe this is a BBC documentary - such biased editing and narration.
if you're interviewing someone you'd think you'd have enough sense to actually read his books first, and not nitpick about whether he's quoted keats.

"Seeks morality, yet hates faith." Faith =/= morality idiot. You can have either one without the other. Look at how many immoral people have faith. Look at how many moral people have no faith. This guy is retarded.

This guy doesn't get Dawkins' ideas and that's a shame. What's more he's given the platform of putting on a BBC documentary about him. I wish he had read Dawkins' books, or that the BBC had assigned someone who fully understood the subject matter. He has revealed himself to be a poor investigator and journalist.

im spiritual without the need for an ancient doctrine, why doesnt this supposed intellectual working for the bbc understand that thats what dawkins is saying? thumbs down to this video! and im shocked this was on the bbc. thought they had more about themselves.

faith is a belief in something with no evidence whatsoever...morality is a code of conduct in which all people naturally equip but evolves at unknown rates thus different rates...faith is entirely different

What I was pointing out is that correlation =/= causation. They have nothing to do with each other but the presenter seems to think they do. I hate when people like him jump to the conclusion that somehow believing in a God forces you to be better than someone who doesn't.

Well it is because we have big brains we have ideas and imagination. So it comes hand and hand, we have the ability to hypothesize and from those hypotheses' we can easily imagine that a creator created everything or natural selection based on what we see and how we see them.
but you do forget ...( 1 day ago by JayCKat)
but you do forget the while religion calls us to treat each other as brothers, it also calls us to smite people who do not believe in our god. Thus we are brothers only to those who share our religion and smite all others.
