I dont get it...so the fact that I heard this song from the 300 trailer and thought "That song sounded amazing, im going to go find out who made it and buy it" makes me less of a fan because I heard it on a tv ad the first time?

You can't disregard the fact that as far as instrumentals go, this is a classic and some people aren't too fond of their other music. Therefor this is their best piece in technical terms as just about everyone who hears it falls in love regardless of whether they like NINs other works.

I first heard this song in the 300 trailer and fell in love with it, but I don't associate it with the movie. I associate it with the band. I like a few more of their songs, too, but I didn't start listening until I heard this. It's an outstanding piece of music. One of my favorites.
