I wish that Sesame Street was the same like it was when it first came out.After it reached the late 1999's it wasn't good anymore and they got rid of all the classic stuff,then one by one the cast started to leave.I will not watch it anymore...It's just not the same!!

How Do You figure that? This Clip WAS From the 1st "SS" in 1969 (It's on the DVDs), while "The Muppet Show" didn't even debut until 1976.

My Sesame Street: 1973-1975. Too young for the first Gordon, Roosevelt Franklin, pin-headed Big Bird and the orange Oscar; too old for Elmo, Savion and Mr. Noodle.
I did see the episode about the death of Mr. Hooper, though by then I was 14. I had to see how they'd deal with it. It's sad to watch even today.
Just think - the little kids from 1969 are at least 45 years old now! Time goes so fast.
