My Aunt who has now passed thank God. Took her husband of 30 some years and kicked him out and went for divorce and so financial broke him that he committed suicide. Then she shopped for a lonely man with money got him and then inherited a lot money but his kids did get some which made her very angry. My uncle was not my favorite person but he did not deserve what he got. My Aunt should have been kinder and just shot my uncle in the back of the head than the way she did kill him.

I think that many people do not realize that divorce does not have to be an ugly thing. I know people who have children who have gotten divorced and have kept it out of the court system. Not only that they both are proactive in their childs life and are both friends. I think it mainly has to do with keeping the communication open no matter how much you are hurting.

Let me first say that women who get men pregnant for a paycheck are disgusting and we all know they're out there. But, a marriage between a couple that preceeded (emphasis here) the birth of children that ends in divorce should result in the non-custodial parent paying some type of support or sharing in expenses. Bottom line: A father's chief function is to protect- and sorry guys- PROVIDE. Anything less is being a pansy-ass weeny. No one put a gun to their head and made them have kids.

The internet and communications system would still be functioning; cars would still drive; planes would still fly; there'd still be food on the table. But surely mothers also have a responsibility to provide? Just because men are more economically able that women, doesn't mean that we should be discriminated against when it comes to custody. Custody should be awarded 50/50 in all cases. Men are not cash-machines.

Mothers have a responsibility to provide in the absence of a provider. Women who intentioanlly knock men up deserve to lose custody to the man they thought was going to be an endless cash register. But custody should not be awarded 50/50 in all cases. I thank God it wasn't in my parent's divorce.

It just annoys me that men are viewed merely as providers and not as parents who have equal rights. In 90%+ of cases, judges award sole-custody to the mother. This is not only discriminatory, but it robs the father of the right to raise his own child; from that point on, the father has the same rights as a cash machine. There should be an assumption of 50/50 custody in all cases unless it can be proven that one parent - the father OR mother - is a danger to the child.
