Everyone is too scared to state the simple reason why NAFTA is better: Free unfettered trade is obviously better for society as a whole than trade that is bogged down by quotas or tariffs.
This being said, a change from non-free trade to free trade will obviously cause booms and recessions in different areas, but this is a nessecary path to a better economy.

canada gets a shit end of NAFTA aswell...why should US pay like $4 a gallon and canada pay about $5 a gallon ((of couse ours isnt in gallons but..) when its our oil. In Mexico nafta has been unffair in many issues too, but we have accept that an agreement of this nature have advantages and disadvantages. If America want to loose 130 millions of consumers of your stuff, ok. More jobs will be lost.
