Love Roy's version, there's no doubt he does an excellent job, however ...Carlos Montoya, is still the King , to answer your question. as good as Roy's version sounds, it still sounds like a Banjo towards the end. Big difference in acoustics. Roy uses a pic, Carlos just his fingers , something gets lost when it's not fingered. Still RC does a great job. And his version, minus the fingering is unique.

I really don't understand the need of self appointed experts to explain why Roy's version is not the "best." ("My mom's better than your mom.")
