As multiple people have said, it's not that you suck, it's that the game sucks. You know the reasons why, so try to fix them. Maybe find someone to bounce your ideas off of; I know that I've done so with JMan for my own game, and he's hit me with plenty of ideas that we've been able to talk through. Just find someone who knows gaming, and let them help you.
Being whiny about it is never the answer. Anyone can make this work if they want; it's not magic. Just get to it.

If you spent 3 months making this game like you say you did, you should take comments and UltraJMan's critique and use them to tweak the game.
As I see it the priority order is:
1. fix bugs, varying jump heights and falling through floors is game-breaking
2. balance combat system either make normal attack stronger and/or make specials more mp costly or do less damage
3. Make boss patterns longer or less predictable
4. consistent graphics and easy-to-read font (least important, most work)
