Some mistakes on the show have been... 1. In the first series Fry said that the longest animal in the world was the lion's man jellyfish. In the third series, he corrected himself and said the longest animal was the bootlace worm. 2. In the second series, Fry said that the Welsh language had no word for the colour blue. He later apologised when viewers wrote to him saying that there was actually a word ("glas").

He had to apologise foe this when man who did the voices of the original series corrected him. 4. In the third series, Fry gave someone points for saying that the triple point of water in 0 deg. C. However, he had to apologise again when it was pointed out that the triple point of water is actually 0.01 deg. C.
